THE 21ST INEPO (INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT OLYMPIAD,17-20 May), TURKEY-2013

CADET COLLEGE PETARO WON SPECIAL JURY AWARD

 

 

The 21st International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO) was organized from 17th May to 20th May 2013 at Istanbul, Turkey. The college team comprising 02 cadets, Cadet Muhammad Arham Khan Kit No: C-12001(SL) and Cadet Bilal Sakrani Kit No: 10060(LF) accompanied by Mr. Shahid Munir Shah (O-Level Teacher) represented Pakistan on an official invitation by the organizing committee to participate and demonstrate their project

“GOOD EFFECT OF RECITATION OF THE HOLY QURAN SOUND ON GROWTH OF PLANTS”. 

In the Olympiad 45 countries displayed 110 projects. Few of the participating countries were UK, USA, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Denmark, Maxico, South Korea, Turkey, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Moldova, Mozambique, Bosnia, and Egypt etc. The College Team’s Project, “GOOD EFFECT OF RECITATION OF THE HOLY QURAN SOUND ON GROWTH OF PLANTS”, received special attention from the viewers and jury members and ultimately awarded with SPECIAL JURY AWARD in the Olympiad, which is indeed a unique honour for the college as well as for Pakistan for being honoured with an international award.It is also worth mentioning that the accompanying Physics teacher Mr. Shahid Munir Shah of Cambridge System was nominated as an INTERNATIONAL JURY MEMBER for current and coming International Environmental Project Olympiad.Moreover, wide media coverage was given to the project and leading news channels of Turkey such as Zaman TV and Turkish Daily Newspaper conducted special interviews of the cadets. The visit proved to be very fruitful as it offered a great deal of learning and awareness to the cadets through their interaction with the students of international community.
