On 6th September 2025, Cadet College Petaro commemorated Defence Day with great respect and national spirit at Sir Syed Hall. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, which was followed by the National Anthem. Soon after, a cadet presented a soulful milli naghma, filling the hall with patriotic zeal.
The ceremony continued with the introduction of Shaheed Cdr. Zia-ur-Rahim PN (Kit # 97125 – Iqbal House), after which a moving memorial video was played to honor his life and sacrifice. His brother, Mr. Tariq Rahim, then addressed the gathering with heartfelt words in remembrance of the Shaheed.
The Chief Guest, Captain Bashir Ahmed Vistro – a Prominent Petarian (Kit # 50 – Ayub House), delivered an inspiring address in which he highlighted the life of cadets at CCP, the importance of discipline, the valuable role of Housemasters and faculty, and the need for career guidance for cadets.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenirs, to the Chief Guest, Captain Bashir Ahmed Vistro, by the worthy Commandant and Principal, Commodore Faisal Iqbal Qazi, SI(M), and then to Mr. Tariq Rahim, brother of Shaheed Cdr. Zia-ur-Rahim PN.
The event not only paid homage to the martyrs but also inspired cadets to carry forward their legacy of courage, unity, and devotion to the nation.
