The Closing Ceremony of the Inter Colleges Sports Championship (ICSC) 2023 took place on October 29, 2023, at Cadet College Sanghar (CCS). Senator Imamuddin Shouqeen, a distinguished Member of the Senate of Pakistan and Chairman of the Oil & Gas Development Committee in District Sanghar, graced the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest. Upon his arrival, Senator Shouqeen was accorded a Guard of Honour by impeccably presented cadets and was then escorted by the college riding team to the sports stadium for the vibrant closing ceremony.
The program commenced with an array of impressive sporting events including the 100 Meter Race, Tug of War, Horse Show Jumping, and Tent Pegging. Commodore Zeeshan Ali SI(M), Commandant/Principal of CCS, extended a warm welcome and provided an overview of the five-day sports activities that unfolded during ICSC 2023. The championship witnessed the participation of four esteemed institutions from Sindh: Cadet College Petaro (CCP), Pakistan Steel Cadet College (PSCC), SST Public School Rashidabad (SST), and the host, Cadet College Sanghar (CCS). Eight indoor and outdoor games were played on a league basis, with each institution represented by 50 sportsmen.
Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest commended CCS for successfully hosting ICSC 2023 and congratulated Cadet College Sanghar for securing the title of ICSC 2023 Champion, while acknowledging Cadet College Petaro as the Runners Up. The Chief Guest bestowed shields upon the standout players in each game and awarded trophies to the victorious teams. Concluding the ceremony, the Chief Guest officially declared the closure of “ICSC-23,” marked by the lowering of the Contingent Colors.
